2022 Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship & Mentoring Program Now Open

In 2006, the Sport Australia Hall of Fame (SAHOF) Scholarship and Mentoring Program was introduced to support the desire of our Members as Mentors, to leave a legacy that's greater than their sporting achievements alone.

Our Mentors' unique value is their ability to be role models, not just to those looking to follow in their athletic footsteps, but also in the broader community. People from all walks of life can learn from them about mindset, and use their values of perseverance and commitment to achieve their own goals in life and in sport.

The Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship & Mentoring Program is among the most elite programs in Australia, if not the world. Connecting the nation's next generation of athletic talent with the greats of Australian sport and providing Tier 1 Scholarship Holders with unrivalled access to one-on-one mentoring from a Sport Australia Hall of Fame Member; there is surely no greater way to inspire young Australians to fulfil their potential.

In 2020, Sport Australia Hall of Fame, with thanks to Sport Australia, expanded the Scholarship & Mentoring Program to a three tiered system open to Australian junior athletes (U21). This expanded Program is once again on offer for 2022 offering greater financial support and an increase in Scholarship Recipients who will be mentored by an Australian great.
