Appointment of Athlete Director
The Equestrian Australia Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Jade Findlay as Athlete Director. Jade will also serve as the EA Board representative on the High-Performance Committee.
Jade brings a wealth of experience to this role, both as an accomplished athlete and a seasoned business professional. With over 20 years competing consistently at 4* and 5* level in Eventing, Jade has demonstrated exceptional dedication to the sport. Her competitive achievements include winning at 4* level and representing Australia in 2019. She continues to compete at 4* today with a promising string of younger horses.
Beyond her athletic accomplishments, Jade operates a highly successful Thoroughbred business alongside her husband at Hannover Lodge in Wilberforce, where they manage over 140 horses. This extensive equine business experience, combined with her production of competitive horses, provides her with unique insights into the challenges and opportunities facing athletes at all levels.
Jade's broader business acumen is equally impressive. Her experience as a Director across multiple businesses has equipped her with strong capabilities in strategic planning, human resources, training, conflict resolution, and safety processes and procedures—all critical skills for the Athlete Director role.
The Board are confident that Jade's combination of elite athletic experience, business leadership, and commitment to the equestrian community will make her an outstanding Athlete Director. We look forward to working with her in this important position.
Equestrian Australia would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all nominees who put themselves forward for this role. The calibre of candidates reflects the strength and dedication within our equestrian community. We greatly appreciate the time, effort, and willingness to contribute to the selection process undertaken by the EA Nominations Committee to provide a recommendation to the Board.
Please join us in congratulating Jade on her appointment.
