Attention Jumpers - Voting is Open for your Athlete Rep

Equestrian Australia now invites current financial members with a primary/voting interest in Jumping to vote for the Equestrian Australia Jumping Committee Athlete Representative.

The appointment will be for a three (3) year term commencing January 2023. Two nominations have been received:

- Krissy Harris

- Vicki Roycroft

Voting will open on Monday 14 November 2022 and close at 11:59 pm (AEDT) Sunday 27 November 2022.

ATHLETE BACKGROUND

Krissy Harris

Has been a company director of our family company and self employed for 38 years. As a company director she has been involved in all aspects of the financial and production sides of our business which has varied from the film and television industries, live show, stockfeed, agistment and professional showjumping rider, saddlery and now owning, developing and running Stonewall Equestrian as a dedicated showground and place of equestrian business.

Krissy has been a member of the Equestrian Australia for the last 40 years.

  • Previous member of Northside Riding Club and Hunter Valley Showjumping Club
  • Current member of JNSW, EA, AHRC (Australian Horse Riding Centres) and CCSJC
  • Served 5 years as the president of the Central Coast Showjumping Club and is a long standing committee member 

I have been actively involved in showjumping as a member of the Northside Riding Club Committee (early 1980’s) President of Central Coast Jump Club for 5 years (1990’s) and still a committee member today. In partnership with Andrew Inglis we ran the very successful Parkview Showjumping Championships at Jilliby on the Central Coast, holding both a World Cup show and an Olympic Trial for the Atlanta Olympics. As a rider I have achieved # 93 on the world rankings, representing Australia at the World Cup final in 1997, on the World Games team for 1998 and short listed for the Sydney Olympics. I have been showjumping for 45 years and am still competing in the 1.30m classes.

Vicki Roycroft

Vicki has managed her own business, Roycroft Stables, for 25+ years comprising training horses and riders from grass roots to elite levels, along with buying and selling horses.

She has an Equestrian Australia Level 3 Coaching in Showjumping, Eventing and General. An accumulation of experience and skills from being involved at a multi-discipline level both domestically and internationally.

With governance experience spanning across all facets of the sport, from National level through to my local area.

  • Vicki spent 7 years as Chair of Equestrian Australia Jumping Committee
  • A current committee member of Jumping NSW Inc, a role held for 20 years
  • Has held a position as a board member of Equestrian NSW
  • Was a founding member of the Central Coast (NSW) Showjumping Club and still holds a current position on the committee
  • A founding member and past Chair of the Showjumping Riders Association of Australia

Vicki is an accomplished athelte, having attended 6 Olympic Games, 3 as a competitor (2 for Showjumping and 1 for Eventing) and 3 Olympic Games as a coach. Competed in 3 World Championships for Showjumping and 4 World Cup Finals. I have been the winner of the Pacific League of World Cups 4 times and a 3-time Australian Champion (Showjumping x 2 and Eventing x 1).
