Belgium proves a morale booster for Australian Showjumpers

Seven Australians competed in the CSI 3* Grand Prix over the weekend in Lanaken, Belgium. Of the 58 participants in the class Australia finished with a podium place, and four combinations, amongst the top twenty places.

Phillip Lever finished in 3rd place with a double clear round, on his Belgium Warmblood Essini. In 5th place was Rio Squad Rider Evie Buller who also produced a double clear on her grey Hanoverian called Stanley, this was the combinations first Grand Prix.

Normandy Jumping Squad rider Amy Graham and Bella Baloubet produced a clear jumping round but a time fault saw them finish in 11th place and with only one rail each was Rio Squad riders David Goodwin and Warrego Jericho (13th) and James Paterson – Robinson and Athene (18th).
