The Bemboka Show Society Clubgrounds

Equipment grant lifts spirits of Bemboka community

The Bemboka Show Society (based in NSW) was a recipient of an EA Club Development Grant in 2013.

The club applied for an equipment grant and put the funding they received towards purchasing two sets of arena letters.  The grant also enabled a local volunteer to purchase materials to make new bending poles. The equipment is being well used by the village community which experienced a financially testing 10 year drought prior to 2010.

In order to keep volunteers and judges fed and watered on show days and dressage days the club also purchased good quality thermoses and carry baskets.

At the club's first 2015 show it experienced a 10% increase in horse participation and the club puts the growth down to its safety, organisation and good quality equipment.

Working Equitation is becoming popular in local area and remaining funds from the $2,000 EA Club Development Grant will enable quality preparation and painting of jumps.

Your club still has a chance to apply for a grant but applications must be received by 10pm Sunday 22 March.
