First Meeting of Creditors of Equestrian Australia

The Administrators of EA held the First Meeting of Creditors via an online live event on Friday 19 June 2020. Attendees were provided with a detailed insight into the Administration process and how members and all stakeholders of EA can get involved in creating a foundation for positive change for equestrian.

Many questions were provided by members before and during the meeting and answered live by the Administrators, Kate and Craig.

After the Administrators’ address and the Q&A session with attendees, a resolution was put to attendees to vote on whether a Committee of Inspection should be formed for the Administration process. A Committee of Inspection would involve a small number of EA creditors representing all members and creditors of EA, and working directly with the Administrators.

The Administrators did not recommend this, as it is clear that a much broader group of stakeholders would like to be proactively involved. Ultimately, the majority of attendees voted against forming a Committee of Inspection, and the Administrators will continue to consult with all stakeholders.

The meeting presentation is uploaded on the KordaMentha website HERE.

The minutes of the meeting will be uploaded in the coming days and will also be lodged with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

Many insights and suggestions have already been provided from members and these are being reviewed and collated by the Administrators. If you would like to have an input, please send an email detailing your thoughts through to [email protected].
