Mary Hanna wins Deauville GP

An amazing day in Deauville for Mary Hanna and her horse Calanta (who was competing in her only third International competition) winning the Grand Prix with 72.2%, and finishing 6th with her second horse, Boogie Woogie, on a score of 69.52%.

She shares on her Facebook page: "A personal best for me with Cally and a qualifying score for both working towards WEG. I felt so proud to see the Aussie flag and hear our anthem. Got quite emotional. For those of you who are over 60.... never give up on your dreams... and of course those younger too."

"A massive thanks to Tori Weir and Linnea Grunn my fabo grooms. There was a terrible accident on the way down when a driver fell asleep and crashed into our truck. Thanks to Tori's brilliant driving skills all horses and people survived. And .... a huge thanks to my brilliant and supportive trainer Patrik Kittel, and Lyndal who have been behind me all of he way."
