National Sport Committee Updates

Australian Dressage Committee

At a recent meeting of the Australian Dressage Committee Mary Seefried was re-elected as the Committee’s Chairperson. This is Ms Seefried’s second term as the Chair of the skills-based committee.

National Endurance Committee

Mark Grogan from QLD has been re-elected to the National Endurance Committee for a two year term. Mr Grogan joins Linda Tanian (VIC), Anne Barnes (WA), Robyn Parnell (NSW) & Leigh Ann Sample (QLD) on the skills-based committee. This is Mr Grogan’s second term on the National Endurance Committee.

National Eventing Committee

Janet Houghton (VIC), Bec Thomas (WA) and Brendan Croese (QLD) have joined the National Eventing committee replacing outgoing members Barry Roycroft (VIC), Lindsay Honey (WA) and Tony Walls (QLD) . The National Eventing Committee is a committee elected by the states, with each state nominating its representative.

EA thanks Mr Roycroft, Mr Honey (WA) and Mr Walls for serving on this committee. 

National Vaulting Committee

Anna Blackburn from NSW has been elected to the National Vaulting Committee for a two year term. Ms Blackburn joins Gail Beattie (SA), Jenny Denby (NSW), Tony Richardson (SA), Kay Fowler (WA) and Jamie Hocking (SA) as the Vaulters Representative on the skills-based committee.

This is Ms Blackburn’s first term on the National Vaulting Committee and she replaces outgoing committee member and Chairperson Sarah Hocking who has served a maximum six year term on the Committee. Ms Hocking is required to stand-down for a period of one year before she is eligible to renominate for the committee.
