Vaulting Pas de Deux pair Young and Spary to withdraw from WEG

Australia's Pas de Deux pairing of Samantha Young and Morgan Spary have regretfully withdrawn from the FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG) 2014 on medical advice after Morgan sustained a leg injury during training.

It is devastating news for the two vaulters who recently arrived in Germany where they were continuing with their WEG preparations.

Although Morgan is expected to make a full recovery, she will not be able to resume competition in time for the first day of vaulting competition which is due to commence on Tuesday 2 September.

Samantha, Morgan and their team wish to acknowledge the time, costs and efforts that their supporters have invested, in particular to their German colleagues for their contribution in providing horses, training facilities, coaching expertise and accommodation for the WEG 2014 campaign.
