EOI to represent Australia in Senior Team, Horse of the Year (New Zealand)

Equestrian Australia has received an invitation from Equestrian Sports New Zealand (ESNZ) and Horse of the Year, for four riders (on their own horses) to compete as part of the Silver Fern Stakes at Horse of the Year, Hastings, New Zealand, 13th -18th March 2018.

Equestrian Australia would like to invite senior riders, who meet the eligibility requirements, to indicate their interest to compete at this event. All interested combinations will need to complete the Expressions of Interest form.

The invite is for:

  • Four Senior Riders, to compete in 1.40m - 150m Show Jumping Event
  • One Coach/Chef d’Equipe

Horse of the Year will provide the following:

  • Travel by road from Auckland to Hastings
  • Accommodation
  • Stabling
  • Entry fees, including for additional classes such as the Olympic Cup

The Riders/Coach will be responsible for:

  • Return travel to New Zealand
  • Return transport of horses to New Zealand
  • Insurance
  • Meals

The EA National office will provide administration support and a uniform for the selected riders.

Horse of the Year is New Zealand’s premier equestrian show and this event will be a unique opportunity for senior riders to compete as a team in a high stakes event.
