ACTIVet Lighting the Way in Equine Treatment

The team at REM SYSTEMS and Multi Radiance have partnered with the Australian Equestrian Team and provided four lasers to be utilised in the treatment of squad horses if required.

The ACTIVet PRO lasers have been proven to safely deliver the most light to deep tissue, and facilitate absorption.  An increase in power can shorten treatment times and provide powerful pain relief for horses. 

However, unlike high-powered Class IV lasers, the ACTIVet PRO increases power without the unwanted photothermal effect, avoiding the production of excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) that can lead to photocytotoxicity and apoptosis. 

Multi Radiance are also the exclusive laser provider to the United States Equestrian Federation where they have experienced great success in the treatment of team horses. In many of cases, whether Equine or Equestrian athlete, the patient was able to return to sport sooner and documented a faster recovery rate with the use of the laser.

Laser treatments expedite the healing process, reduce edema at an accelerated rate, wounds resolve much sooner, and the laser helps break the pain cycle, which allows for the initiation of exercise programs to build strength.
