Calling for 2023-2025 National Discipline Committee EOI’s

It is once again that time of year where Equestrian Australia call for National Discipline Committee (NDC) Expressions of Interest for vacancies as listed below.

All of the below positions will be for a three (3) year term (unless stated) commencing 1 January 2023

Eligibility requirements and an outline of the role and responsibility for each NDC can be found in the EA National Discipline Committee Appointment and Procedures Policy and NDC Charters here.

To apply, please complete the relevant Expression of Interest Form and return via email to the EA Sport Services Officer listed on the nomination form and below:

Vacancies are detailed below: 

Equestrian Australia Dressage Committee

Two (2) vacancies and One (1) casual vacancy
Virginia Creed has served the maximum 6 years and is not eligible to re-stand for a minimum of 12 months. Julie Ely-Jones has served one term and is eligible to re-stand.  Maria Schwennesen is stepping down from the EADC leaving a casual vacancy for 1 year to be filled.

Equestrian Australia Officials Dressage Committee

Two (2) vacancies

Mary Seefried and Jobina Kennedy have both served one term and are both eligible to re-stand.

Equestrian Australia Driving Committee

Two (2) vacancies
Andrea Webb has been filling a one year casual vacancy and is eligible to re-stand for a further 2 years and there is one current vacancy for a 3-year term.

Equestrian Australia Endurance Committee

Three (3) vacancies

Committee members, Sonya Ryan, Darien Feary and Penny Toft have all served one term and are all eligible to re-stand.

The Endurance Athletes’ Representative will also become vacant, Naomi O'Shaunessey has served 1 term and is eligible to re-stand.

Equestrian Australia Jumping Committee

Two (2) vacancies
Graeme Watts and John Vallance have both served 6 consecutive years and are not eligible to re-stand for a minimum of 12 months.

The Jumping Athletes’ Representative will also become vacant, Stuart Jenkins has served 6 consecutive years and is not eligible to re-stand for a minimum of 12 months.

Equestrian Australia Vaulting Committee

Two (2) vacancies
Darryn Fedrick has served 6 consecutive years as is not eligible to re-stand for a minimum of 12 months. Sharyn van Someren has served 1 term and is eligible to re-stand.

The Eventing Athletes’ Representative will become vacant, Emma Mason has served 6 consecutive years and is not eligible to re-stand for a minimum of 12 months.
