FEI Officials 2022 - Competency-Based Evaluation System

As of 16 December 2021, the 2022 FEI CES Assessments will be accessible. Separate enrolment notifications will be sent for each CES Assessment directly to FEI Officials via FEI Campus. This means that depending on the function and discipline, several CES Assessments might have to be taken by Officials.

There have been some changes for 2022, for which the FEI have compiled into a short video which explains the changes which you can find HERE as well as the written information

  • There are no more Group A and B Officials, everyone will now follow the same 3 requirements
    • Yearly CES online assessment
    • In Person Maintenance Course every 3 years
    • Officiating review
  • Improved CES online assessment  - modular architecture to avoid repetition for officials holding multiple functions
  • New Monitoring tools on your profileon the FEI Database to help you keep track of requirements
  • Due to C-19 the FEI Board have suspended the Officiating review until 2024 which allows time to fulfill the required officiating requirements.
  • Possibility of continued online virtual maintenance courses.

All FEI Officials are invited to take the CES Assessment on FEI Campus from 16 December 2021 to 15 December 2022. Note that to officiate at events taking place after 31 March 2022, Officials must have passed the CES Assessment. If passed, the function will be extended to 31 March 2023.

  • If not passed, the function will be “On Hold” – not being allowed to officiate - until completed or Online or In-Person Maintenance Interview has been conducted.
  • If the CES online Assessment 2022 is not taken by 15 December 2022, the function will be closed.
  • Please forward you completion certificate via to Amy McGregor [email protected]

With C-19 restrictions still affecting travel we are working closely with the FEI on how to achieve successful course completion. Noting that the FEI have mentioned that Virtual courses will still be an option for moving forwards which is great news.
