Newly Accredited Show Jumping Judges Clinic

EA with the assistance of the National Jumping Committee conducted a forum and Train-the-Trainer accreditation day held in Sydney in December.

The group of nine consisted of the syllabus instigators Jan Golding (NSW), Graham Davey (NSW), Anne Garner (VIC) and Susan Ryan (SA) plus Michael Archer (NSW), Penny Dodd (WA), Lisa Readett (TAS), Stuart Platt (SA) and Annie White (VIC).

All participants are now qualified and trained to use the new national show jumping syllabus when conducting refresher and promotional show jumping judges courses and EA Level One and Two clinics throughout Australia.

These presenters may also train other FEI judges to be presenters through their States.

In 2015 each State will be endorsing show jumping judges’ clinics using the new standardised national syllabus with one of these nine accredited presenters with also the option of a lower-level assistant presenter.

Each State Jumping Branch will still approve any new promotions for Preliminary, EA Level One and EA Level Two using the new requirements which include practical experience with the endorsement of two higher-level judges.

Only judges who pass the new EA Level Three course and are approved by their State and the NJC will be eligible for promotion to FEI One or FEI Two.

In 2015, EA Level Three clinics are to be presented by Jan Golding, Graham Davey, Anne Garner or Susan Ryan with the option of a lower-level assistant presenter.

Details of all requirements for promotion, including the Record of Experience and application forms for each level from EA Preliminary to EA Level Three, are in the “How to Become a Jumping Judge” booklet available on-line or hardcopy from the EA National Office.
