Our Rio Jumping Team athletes make a leap in the FEI Longines Rankings

The new FEI Longines Rankings, the world Jumping rankings, are out and each of Australia's Jumping Team of four for Rio have made a jump following good ranking class performances:

Edwina Tops-Alexander went from #17 to #10 reinforcing her right to have earned early selection on the Rio Team with her outstanding performances.

James Paterson-Robinson gains 45 positions, going from #248 to #203rd.

Matt Williams showed his consistency over the weekend with a podium result at the $130,000 Tyron (USA) CSI3* Grand Prix last weekend. His good performance in Sopot CSIO beginning on June already pushed him from #409 to #288.

51-year-old Keach, who will be attending his second Olympics in Rio and holds the Australian record for the longest time between competing at the Games, jumped from #327 to #283.

This overall progress in the worlwide leaderboard is encouraging ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, now just 30 days away.
