Rio nomination looms for European based hopefuls

Five Australian Para-Equestrian athletes will head to Deauville, France from 8-10th April for the first of the European nomination events for Australian team selection. Athletes vying for team selection are required to gain an overall percentage of 67% or above in the Team or Individual test in at least two of the three nominated Paralympic European Selection Events.

The athletes competing at Deauville are:

Chelsea Higgins –Grade 3

Elizabeth Sobecki – Grade 3

Kate Umback – Grade 3

Amelie White – Grade 4

Nicki Doogue – Grade 4

Further nomination events will be held at Waregam BEL (21-23 April),  Mannheim GER (5-7 May)  and Roosendaal NED (19-21 May). Team nominations date is set for 27th May.

The final Australian based nomination event will be held at the Sydney CDI from 6-9 April.
