Bill Levett & Shannondale Titan

Bill Levett & Shannondale Titan

Bill was born on a farm at Kyogle (NSW) and although Bill grew up in a ‘non horsey’ family, he was encouraged to learn how to ride by his parents. Bill grew up in the north western NSW town of Werris Creek, where his parents were school teachers. As a teenager, Bill rode a big bay thoroughbred called “Surprise” and attended Werris Creek Horse and Rider Club and Quirindi Pony Club where he was a fun and enthusiastic competitor in all disciplines. Upon Bill’s completion of a two year Stud Management course he decided he wanted to give eventing a go. Levett, is also a protégé of 1960 Rome Olympic Gold medallist Neale Lavis, with Levett originally starting out with Neale to learn about racing.
