2015 World Young Horse Dressage Championships

25 Year old Simone Pearce riding Felicia has finished the FEI World Young Horse Dressage Championships with a top 12 placing in the small final of the 5 year old division.

Pearce and her 5 year old dark bay KWPN mare Felicia were Australia's sole representatives at the Championships and their opening performance in Thursday's qualifying round received a score of 8.04.

In Friday's small final the combination placed 12th with a score of 8.0.

Pearce, who hails from Victoria, was full of positivety following her performance.

"The judges felt the test was a little too extravagent, although commenting very positively about our future," she commented on Facebook.

"On top of this we had an overwhelmingly optimistic response from spectators, which was really lovely. And most of all I had the most amazing feeling and simply the ride of my life on super star Felicia – you did it again girl, eternally grateful."
