Concussion Training for Coaches Commences March 2021

UPDATE (09/03/21):

Thank you to all who have registered to attend the EA Concussion training on Monday 15 or Wednesday 17 March 2021.

Unfortunately, due to technical issues and an upgrade of the MyEA system, the EA Coach Concussion training scheduled for the 15th and 17th March has been rescheduled.

New dates have been added and we strongly encourage you to re-register for one of the new dates using the link that can be found HERE:

Dates to select from include:

  • Thursday 25 March at 19:00 AEDT
  • Monday 29 March at 13:00 AEDT
  • Tuesday 30 March 17:00 AEDT

Three sessions will be offered during March 2021 to explain Equestrian Australia’s NEW Incident Management Reporting and Concussion Protocols, the tools available and your role. Training will be delivered by Meredith Chapman, EA National Safety Manager and Kellie Hayes (Pathways Officer - Coaches).

To be prepared for the training it is recommended you do the following:

  1. Download the Headcheck App onto your mobile 
  1. Print a copy of the CRT5 Concussion Recognition Tool: https://coach.ca/sites/default/files/2020-01/CRT5.pdf
