Prepare Now for Upcoming Coaching Renewals

To maintain EA Coaching registration, coaches must renew their EA Coach Registration on an annual basis.

EA Coaches must have current EA Membership at all times for their insurance and registration to remain valid. EA Membership is processed via your local State Branch, and can be renewed via MyEA on an annual basis - this differs between States.

To maintain your EA Coach Registration and be recognised as a current, accredited EA coach, you will need to ensure you have:

1. attended an EA Coach Update. Attendance at an update is required every two years. If you need to attend this year there are two ways to do this:

  • Watch an online presentation – you can purchase access to the online Coach Update presentation for $50 HERE.
  • Attend a presentation from a Coach Educator – If your preference is to attend a face to face event, your Coach Educator can deliver the exact same content as contained in the Online Coach Update Clinic. Contact your Coach Educator for more information.

If you are a Coach Educator and you would like to hold a Coach Update Clinic you can order your resources HERE

2. a current First Aid Certificate (Certificate HLTAID003 - Provide First Aid). Here is a google list of providers who may be able to assist you in renewing your certificate if you need to update:

3. a current Working with Children Check/Blue Card (if you intend on teaching students under 18yo)

4. completed your Sport Integrity Anti-Doping Fundamentals (formerly ASADA Level 1) Certificate (valid forever - free to complete online  https://elearning.sportintegrity.gov.au/login/index.php

5. completed your Sport Integrity Annual Update 2021 (formerly ASADA Level 2) Certificate - https://elearning.sportintegrity.gov.au/login/index.php

6. Coaches must earn a minimum of twelve (12) updating points throughout the year.

  • Are you looking for another updating points opportunity? Have you completed your EA Coach, Official and Club Concussion training? Extra dates have now been added.  All EA Coaches, Officials and Clubs should be familiar with EA Concussion protocols and processes. This 30 - 45 minute training will be delivered using the Microsoft Teams platform and delivered by EA National Safety Manager, Meredith Chapman. To register click HERE.

7. Once you have completed all of the above you will be set to complete your online Coach Registration Renewal (including completing your Coach Activities form) via MyEA when you receive it.
