Young Horse Tests

Qualifying Events

One round only using the following tests and scored on Young Horse Judging Sheet

• 4YO           Highest current EA Preliminary Test and Score Sheet 
• 5YO           FEI Young Horse Preliminary test for 5-year-olds and Score Sheet
• 6YO           FEI Young Horse Preliminary test for 6-year-olds and Score Sheet

State Young Horse Championships

Held over two rounds using the following tests and scored on Young Horse Judging Sheet

First Round

• 4YO*          EA YH Commanded test for 4-year-olds and Score Sheet
• 5YO           EA YH Commanded test for 5-year-olds and Score Sheet
• 6YO           EA YH Commanded test for 6-year-olds and Score Sheet

                           (* using the EA 4-year-old Material test and conditions is optional)

Second Round

• 4YO           FEI Young Horse Dressage test for 4-year-olds and Score Sheet
• 5YO           FEI Young Horse Preliminary test for 5-year-olds and Score Sheet
• 6YO           FEI Young Horse Preliminary test for 6-year-olds and Score Sheet

Australian Young Dressage Horse Championships

4-year-olds

·      EA 4-year-old Material Class test and Score Sheet.

·       Consolation final for horses placed 4^th and below– FEI Young Horse test for 4-year-olds

5-year-olds

·       First round – EA YH Commanded test for 5-year-olds and Score Sheet

·       Second round – FEI Dressage test for 5-year-olds and Score Sheet

6-year-olds

·       First round – EA YH Commanded test for 6-year-olds and Score Sheet

·       Second round – FEI Dressage test for 6-year-olds and Score Sheet
